How Do I Take the Doors Off of My Jeep Gladiator?

As the warm weather is approaching, you may want to be in the know in regards to taking off the doors of your Jeep Gladiator.

Here is a step by step, chronological list on how to remove those doors in order to enjoy the spring/summer sunshine:

  • Remove the t-50 bolts on all four doors
  • Make sure to remove the retainer bolts and store them in a safe place
  • Undo retainer strap and wiring on the inside of the door
  • Make sure all of the windows are down for more leverage and gripping points
  • Remove t-44 hex bolt inside of the door
  • Remove the panel which is located on the right side of the t-44 hex bolt
  • Disconnect the wiring behind the removed panel
  • On the wiring harness, push the red button upwards
  • Push on the black holding pin then push the white lever up
  • Once the white lever is up, then remove the harness on the bottom
  • Pull off the retainer strap
  • Grab the lip underneath the door armrest
  • Then lift the door up and out of place
  • Once the door is removed, put the panel back into place

Once these steps are complete, you are ready to hit the open road with no doors. You can repeat this same process with each of the four doors. You can also store the bolts underneath the back seats under the mats. When you lift the mats you will see an assortment of holes where the bolts fit perfectly into.
