Green Energy Times Writes About Contemporary Automotive

The word has spread about what strides our Jeep dealership is making with the Manchester area community. Green Energy Times recently wrote an article about Contemporary Automotive’s opening and goal to develop a state of the art, eco-friendly facility. The magazine referred to this new dealership as groundbreaking!

“Environmental stewardship is a responsibility shared by all of us here,” said David Hammer of Contemporary Automotive. “From the start, an economically viable, environmentally conscious design was important to our planning.”

Breaking Down the Numbers From This Manchester Area RAM Dealer
The article reviewed the significant changes that were made compared to the old Contemporary dealership off on Elm Street. The biggest change was the solar panels that are offsetting 157,634 lbs. of carbon pollution per year. This equates to 8,046 gallons of gas released into the air or 175,249 miles driven by passenger vehicles. Emissions are also reduced through the LED lighting throughout the interior and exterior of the facility.

The article touches upon our new Reznor waste oil boilers, which are the devices that collect and hold the used motor oil from the normal day-to-day activities from the repair shop. With these two boilers, it will have the ability to heat up to 70% of the dealership’s heating needs! This includes the service center, showroom, and more.

We at Contemporary Automotive are excited for the future and to watch this Manchester area facility grow. While the move is challenging, we acknowledge that the help from our amazing team is what contributed to a successful start on Hammond Road.

“Environmental stewardship is a responsibility shared by all of us here,” said David Hammer of Contemporary Automotive. “From the start, an economically viable, environmentally conscious design was important to our planning.”
