1. Check the cooling system: Overheating is a primary concern during the summer months, meaning you will want to keep an eye on your vehicle’s cooling system. As a vital component of your car’s functioning, the cooling system keeps your vehicle operating at an ideal temperature and prevents overheating. In order to avoid significant damage to your engine, coolant should be refilled when low and fully flushed and refilled every two years. Not sure when you last had your coolant checked? 2. Keep an eye on your tires: With fluctuating temperatures, your tires may also have changing levels of inflation. In order to make sure you are maximizing your fuel economy and keeping your tires from wearing unevenly, it is recommended that you check your tire pressure on a monthly basis. A tire rotation every 5,000 miles also helps maintain good tire health — especially on those hot summer days, no one wants to be waiting for a tow due to a flat tire or blowout!
